I freaking knew it!

As reported by MLB.com:

Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz confirmed on Thursday that he tested positive for the use of performance-enhancing drugs, during Major League Baseball’s 2003 survey testing season, he said in a statement released by the club.

The report surfaced Thursday morning in a story first published on The New York Times’ Web site. According to lawyers who spoke to the Times, and whose names were not revealed, Ortiz and Manny Ramirez are on the list of 104 players who tested positive, testing that was agreed to and conducted only on the condition that the results would remain anonymous.

Its now X Games time again. And all is right in the world. I personally love this crap. Being that I also think that awesome things are awesome, this is right up my alley. And last night’s Big Air Competition gave us a new First Time Gold Medal winner. That’s right. Jake Brown – the man of the most awesomest, stupified, OH MY DAMN! moment in X Games History finally got the Gold baby!

Is there anything better than the mid to late 80′s thrash scene? Damn those were the days!!! Skate and destroy!!! Obviously I was slightly too young to enjoy the drinking side, but throwing in the Thrash Zone cassette at the tender age of 12 to rock pvc rail slides out in the street for hours on end was the pinnacle of my youth and something that has apparently stuck with me even until this day 20 years later. BTW….all of you pretty boy rappers that think you are hard as hell, or you fake ass emo scum…..come join one of these pits homey. Leave your trigger at home and bring your skills to the battle. Until you’ve been in the middle of this madness, you haven’t lived. I said it. -Ish.

Here’s Tracy’s latest exclamation to the world that he will again be a player in this league. Wait, haven’t we heard this like………well……..ran out of fingers……..starting with toes………..damn, lost count. Yeah. To me, the only real news here is this “Skillzlab” thing he is starting. What “skillz” are you gonna teach us T-Mac? How to ruin a trade at the trade deadline by bypassing your teams media relations dept., and announcing that you are having possible career ending knee surgery? Or wait, maybe a kid will want to learn how to tell the media that the team your team will be seeing in round two of the playoffs is your favorite to win it all. Or if they have already learned those, maybe you could teach them how to blow a breakaway dunk when you are 6’10.
Btw, WTF is that half ass grunting face at 1:47….where you look like you are about to bust out laughing. I couldn’t have said it better myself Tracy. -Ish.

cause if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be pointing out the fact that Vans Vault just dropped what is easily the best Chukka to hit the shelves in quite a while, at least in my not so humble opinion. I have personally been waiting nearly 5 months since first eying these in the seasonal preview leek. They are def a shoe built for milder temps, so you’ll need to stash them a few more months, but that will just make you that much more excited when that first cold day arrives. I do like you, but no enough to tell you where to get these badboys. I don’t like you that much.

So we bumrushed the John and Lance show this morning on 1560am KGOW here in Houston (our homebase), and presented “Rappin Dad” aka Lance Zeirlein with his own custom pair of Rappin Dad Air Force 1′s. Ironically he was wearing an orange Nike shirt already. The guys all got quite a kick out of it. Rappin Dad is scheduled to perform at this year’s MUG Awards too on August 20th. Big thanks to The H-Town Sneaker Summit for curating the kicks, Prplmnt.com for doing the lasering on the shoes purchased at Premium Goods in Rice Village.
