After not even catching a ball Sunday during The Bills (cheerleaders)lost to the Saints(cheerleaders), Terrell Owens was first of all short with the media and on his way home to watch some Sunday night football.

As per his Twitter message:

N traffic hungry as a hostage!! Who’s playing the sun nite game 2nite? Cn’t wait 2 get hm & kick my feet up!

So I guess he went home, put his feet up with his food, turned on the TV and heard what former Patiort Rodney Harrison had to say about him.

USC Trojans’ running back Stafon Johnson received emergency surgery today(Sept. 28) after a freak weightlifting accident. While lifting eariler today, the weigh bar slipped out of his hands and landing on his throat. He immediately began coughing up blood (eww) and was rushed to the hospital. Right now it is not clear how long Johnson will be out.

“It was an unfortunate accident and Stafon is getting great care right now,” coach Pete Carroll said on the team’s official Web site. “We don’t have a lot of information at this point and we’ll keep everyone updated, but our thoughts and prayers are with Stafon.”

Over the weekend a very important milestone was passed that should not go unmentioned…the 100th post in The Presidential Palace! Yes, our very own Prez Reko Trill has given us soo much to look at and better yet all the goods for your reading pleasure in the wide world of sports (and cheerleaders). Here’s to the next 100 bub, Congratulations Prez!!

10. Cincinnati Bear-cats (4 – 0) - Slow and Steady.. .Welcome in ladies.

9. Ohio State (3 – 1) - Lost their only game versus a ranked team (USC), but still impressive in victories to date.

8. Oklahoma (2 – 1) -After losing their first game to BYU, the Sooners have outscored their opponents 109 – 0. That’ll get you a nice ranking.

7. USC (3 – 1) – Well, Its USC dude. Welcome back white sweaters!!!

As the final tournament of the 2009 PGA season ends it was only fitting that it’s two biggest rivals would end the year one and two. But like most of Phil Mickelson’s career, that damn Tiger is always stealing his thunder. Phil wins the final round of the FedEx Tour Championship,and a smooth 1 million dollars,  but Woods (who’s wife is hot!) wins the FedEx Cup’s 10 million dollar bonus check. Economy be damned.

“I like the way today went,” Mickelson said. “I was two back of him, I beat him by three. He gets the $10 million check, and I get $1 million. I’ve got no problem with that. I just love holding this finally.”

After a lack luster but all around fun game to watch on dvr (commercial free), the Minnesota Vikings defeated the San Francisco 49rs in the last 2 freaking seconds 27 – 24. How you might ask? Minnesota has Brett Favre fool!

Like I said, with 2 seconds left Brett went all Favre on the Niner’s defensive backs finding Greg Lewis for his only reception of the game, in the back of the end-zone for a touchdown. No sweet touchdown dance to follow sadly. With the victory the Minnesota Vikings stay unbeaten, and Favre places another game-winning victory (40) on “The Gunslinger’s strap.

The #17 University of Houston Cougars defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday night in dramatic, end of the

game, comeback fashion. In front of a 32,114 screaming  crowd, the Coogs’ Case Keenum scored on a quarter back draw to put them up 29 – 28 with 48 seconds left.

Defensive tackle David Hunter felt the same as many of his team mates after the 95 yard drive:

“Honestly, I couldn’t watch,”

“I was praying we would score a touchdown.”
