Tiger’s is Still Bigger Than Phil’s
As the final tournament of the 2009 PGA season ends it was only fitting that it’s two biggest rivals would end the year one and two. But like most of Phil Mickelson’s career, that damn Tiger is always stealing his thunder. Phil wins the final round of the FedEx Tour Championship, and a smooth 1 million dollars, but Woods (who’s wife is hot!) wins the FedEx Cup’s 10 million dollar bonus check. Economy be damned.
“I like the way today went,” Mickelson said. “I was two back of him, I beat him by three. He gets the $10 million check, and I get $1 million. I’ve got no problem with that. I just love holding this finally.”
What the hell ever bro. I personally would be pissed, but hey that’s a million big ones so its all good. I guess.
But even though, I’m all “Team Tiger” all day til the day I die, I have to give big respect to Mickelson for actually being able to perform this whole year with the weight of knowing that his wife and mother are both fighting with cancer. Hell I’m having trouble finishing this post knowing the Colts/Cardinals game is on. So props to you Phil.
“It means a lot to finish the year off on such a good note,” Mickelson said. “We’ve been through a lot, and I’m very proud of my wife and my mom on the fight that they’ve been through. We’re in good shape. Although day-to-day is tough, and it’s not easy for them, we’re fortunate that our long-term outlook is good.”

But I want both trophies....
