Chase

Well folks, our boys in Red lifted off last night in San Antonio to the tune of 35 first quarter points, and 22 fast break points, most of which were in the first half.  Anyone think this won’t be a faster paced team this year?  Yeah, well I like it so far.  These boys get up the court faster than any Houston team since Phi Slamma Jamma.  AB finally has some folks to run with, and its showing.   Highlights of the night included Luis Scolas new found left handed post move, David Anderson’s sweet ass jump shots, Carl Landry’s much improved post play, and Chase Budinger’s flawless catch and release off the pick.  Now, lets talk about Mr. Budinger….this guy has the chance to be the steal of the draft.  Don’t let his sweet looks fool ya, the dude lit up the Summer League in Vegas, and now in his first official NBA action, he picked up right where he left off going 7-10 from the field and 1-1 from deep.  The stat you don’t see is that most of his shots were from just inside the three, and almost all of them hit nothing but the bottom of the net.  With ball handling skills, height, and leaping ability (he was an All-American Volleyball player)….he will only improve too.  But you need not believe me, you can peep his highlights below. Borrowed this from Clutchfans.com.  Rox take on the Celtics in McAllen tonight.
