Sorry Stevie Franchise, I know it was your birthday and you claimed to have built the Toyota Center, but Lucky Lefty aka HOVA aka Sean C Carter bka Jay to tha mufu**’n Z came and tore the place down last night with the Blueprint III tour. Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld announced today that newly acquired forward, Josh Howard will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). Dropping knowledge on you fools.

Howard was injured Monday night in Washington’s win over the Chicago Bulls, only his fourth game with the Wizards since being acquired from Dallas in a seven-player trade on Feb. 13. He collided with the Bulls’ Flip Murray with 4:23 to play in the first quarter and stayed on the floor for a minute before being helped off the court by two trainers.

The Philadelphia Eagles release running back Brian Westbrook (30 years old) Today after eight years of an injury riddled career including recent concussions and several ouchies to the legs/ankles. Brian spent half of the season last year with injuries to the ankle and only scored a whopping 2 touchdowns.

We all know how 30 year old running backs are looked at in the NFL, right or wrong, but when you have had as many injuries as Westbrook, the end to his Eagles career was predictable.

Although Frank Mir is a highly skilled martial artist, a former heavyweight UFC champion, and well respected in the MMA community as one of the best, but what the hell is he thinking right now? Has he forgotten what happened to him the last time Brock Lesnar got a hold of him?  In a radio interview last week, Mir decided either he had too many teeth or he’s not happy with the way he can move about freely in everyday life with no pain. Because he’s doing everything he can to get a third fight (second ass whippin) against current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. Oh and  he’ll be motivated by a desire to break Lesnar’s neck and see him die in the Octagon.

Germany’s Harz region (whereever that is) hosted a sledging event over the weekend and drew over 14,000 people. The event only had about 30 men and women that actually competed. So how in the heck did the Germans pull this off you might ask?

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen “Jewels” Iverson has left the team and is out indefinitely to spend time with his ill daughter.

Iverson will miss at least the remaining three games of Philadelphia’s road trip. Iverson missed five games and the All-Star Game to be with his family when the health issue surfaced earlier this month.

This morning ESPN announced that Tony Kornheiser will be suspended from his show, PTI following comments he made last week about Hannah Storm. He said:

There’s talks around the innerwebs about what Jerry West (one of the great lakers ball players in the early days) having a biography and talking about Magic Johnson’s way’s with the Ladies.

Supposedly there is a passage in the Jerry West Bio that claims:

Well I’m starting to hear all the talks from ESPN and Fox sports about the MVP talks and what I’ve been hearing as far as the Two main candidates is Lebron James and Kevin Durant. For me it’s a tough call cause Lebron has been carrying his team to victories with some help from the supporting cast of teammates minus in my opinion Mr.Shaq(I still can’t believe they let him make the crap of a movie KAZAAM and the absolutely horrible game called SHAQ-FU: there’s an actual site dedicated to burning every copy of  that horrible game).On that note I think Lebron will take the title but mainly due to popularity.Don’t get it twisted I feel he has been having a wonderful season but don’t think this has been his most spectacular season so far.
