Houston Sports Rapp 09-05-09 Interview with Ben Baller…
Since we were cut short by the Oklahoma ass whoopin at the hands of the fighting mormons, the show was unfortunately not all that great, but we did have this epic interview with Ben Baller brought to us by Kadoma of The H-town Sneaker Summit. If you know anything about the sneaker game, you know this guy. 1/3 of the infamous “Air Mack” sneaker collector crew…which includes DJ Homicide, the late DJ AM, and himself. Originally a DJ, he hustled his way through the record industry ranks, and on into the jewelry business, building business bridges the whole way. He joined us for a few minutes from Miami to talk about his good friend, the late DJ AM (Adam Goldstein).

The second half of the show was spent recapping the Mug Awards, as well as actually talking sports! I know….CRAZY RIGHT? We had a die hard Travis Johnson fan named “Robert” call in, and when I researched the Travis Johnson Fan Club, I managed to snag this pic off the interwebs of somebody known only as “Robert”. Not real sure if its the same guy, but who really cares anyhow right?

Show opened with a “BANG”….literally, as Jennifer Scott aka “The Girl Who Killed Ken Hoffman” calls in to recap the now infamous Mug Awards bout as well as taking us through her everyday life, her history, and future in the sport of Boxing. Kadoma actually gets in before the last hour to deliver our “Sneak of the Week” as well.

Well, as football season quickly approaches, why not jump into some NFL, and UFL talk with our special weekly guest Femi Ayanbadejo, former NFL player and current UFL California Redwoods player. We then jump into a lil local talent as the homies “Check Other” fell through for some insane sports related freestyle, and possibly the sickest football related verse I’ve ever heard. I’m sure you will agree.

Houston Sports Rapp 08-15-09 Segment 1
Well, how else would we kick off the night than with Michael Vick talk. Unfortunately, we had little to no mouth with which to do so as the now infamous “Ghost Pepper Salsa” finally made its way from the processing floor at Silverleaf International, and into our studio for sampling. It left no doubt that it is indeed, a Bad EM EFF. Reko may be Trill, but one thing he’s not, is stupid, as he was the only one who waited until we AFTER we had our big guest of the night on to talk a lil gaming. With the arrival of August 15th, came the coming and passing of the release of EA Sports’ NFL Madden 10. Obviously the newest and most complete version to date, we wanted to share our thoughts and ideas about the game with EA Sports‘ own Director of Marketing Nathan Stewart. After a bit of nerd-dum, Reko had finally had enough and personally called Nathan out live on air. I love Reko, in a oh so non homo sort of way, but he is going to get his ass handed to him, and Nathan was oh so kind to offer to record it for us for later use. Good luck there Reko!
