Our good friends and fam at www.nicekicks.com just dropped the news that Tinker and the boys in Beaverton are currently trying to patent and produce the infamous self lacing hoverboard SBs (before there were actually SBs, yet it was 2015?) Helllllo McFly, check out the story here…
Mannywood, no more…

There won’t be any Hollywood ending for Manny and the Dodgers after they place the slugger on waivers today. Well at least we won’t have to see those hideous dreadlock wigs with the LA skullcaps anymore in the left field bleachers at Chavez Ravine. Here’s the story from espn.com
Teams will have until Friday afternoon to put in a claim on Ramirez. Any team that’s awarded the claim would have until Tuesday afternoon to work out a trade with the Dodgers and, because Ramirez has a full no-trade clause, get his approval to waive that clause and accept a deal.
Same ole….Texans y’all
Stop me if you've seen this face before
Well, one meaningless preseason game down, 3 to go before the start of another vanilla season of your Houston Texans. Did anyone actually watch the game saturday night and see anything we haven’t seen in the past few Texans seasons? I ask you to honestly answer quietly in your head before you come back with “It was the 3rd stringers dude”, or this one “you can’t tell anything from a preseason game in the second half” So now I’ll ask you to answer this question aloud What is the ONE constant throughout every preseason and regular season game? The head coach…and Gary Kubiak as much as I like him as an offensive coordinator, melts down under pressure when the game is on the line as a head coach.
Remember Me?

Wow, 1.35 million is a far cry from the 22 million dollars it took to get his ass outta Htown…god bless D. Morey. Story courtesy of ESPN.com.
DETROIT – Tracy McGrady has agreed to a one-year, $1.35 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, a source told ESPN.com.
McGrady played in just 30 games last season for the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. He had major surgery on his right knee in the middle of the 2008-09 season.
The seven-time All-Star and two-time scoring champion drew some interest from the Chicago Bulls this summer.
Parked out front of Minute Maid…

Not sure who this belongs to but the title is in someone named Uncle D’s name and the license plate reads “Roy O”…I guess they won’t be needing this in Philadelphia.

I’m pretty sure this guy doesn’t drive a tractor but if he keeps pitching the way he did in his Astros debut on Friday night that Uncle D guy might be buying him one of his very own. Welcome to Houston Mr. Happ…
Go East Big Puma

Well, I’ve never seen a puma in New York City (unless they were on someone’s feet) but reports are that the Yankees are set to acquire Houston’s very own Lance “Big Puma” Berkman for 2 minor league prospects as early as today. Here is the story written by Yanks homer Buster Olney
The Berkman deal likely will be completed before Saturday’s trade deadline. The Astros will pick up $4 million of the $7 million owed to Berkman this year and in his 2011 option, sources said.
The Yankees will send two prospects to the Astros: reliever Mark Melancon and infielder Jimmy Paredes.

I could hear the hearts of every Rockets fan break all the way in San Diego…
BEIJING – Houston Rockets center Yao Ming is considering quitting basketball after next season if he doesn’t fully recover from his lingering foot injury.
In comments to Chinese state media Monday, Yao sounded far from optimistic about his future and also made a rare criticism of China’s national basketball program.
“If the foot injury does not heal next season, I might choose to call it quits,” he said.
